Through the years I have met plenty of people I have grown to love and care for...some have stayed in my life and some have drifted away.
I know everyone experiences this...we have our most bestest friends in grade school...then move to middle school/jr. high and those friends might just change up a bit...when high school hits these are the people who you feel will be in your life forever. You go through some of your toughest times with these friends. These are the friends that when/if you lose them it hurts more.
You then go through life...get engaged, married and have kids. This journey will test friendships like never before. Those who are on different pages won't understand why you might not have as much time for them or feel replaced even.
I guess what I am leading up to is that I am so blessed to have the friends I have now. I still keep in contact with friends from middle school and high school. I have some amazing people in my life.
I would have to say that I couldn't imagine going through some days without them. Having them to back me up, support my choices, tell me I'm wrong when needed...don't worry that's not often...lol...helping out in a time of need, celebrating holidays, and just plain loving me for me! It's not easy...friendship. You can't be selfish and there are times when you just don't see eye to eye.
I love my friends...I don't have a ton, but the ones I DO have...are the REAL thing! It's not about quanity...it's about QUALITY!
So, to all my friends...THANK YOU for being real. For being exactly who you are and loving me for who I am! You mean more to me than you may know. :)
