A letter to my Dad...

Hello Dad,
It's me...your Sweetheart.  I am just writing to say I love you.  I miss you terribly and think of you everyday.  So many things remind me of you that it's hard not to think of you.
If I hear Yellow Submarine play...I remember the time when I was a little girl sitting on your bed and I wasn't feeling well.  You picked up your guitar and started playing and singing that song to me...but in a funny voice. :)  I can still hear it to this day.  If I see a hanging fruit basket in someones kitchen...I think of how yours never had fruit in it...it had candy bars!  Or anytime someone wears socks with flip-flops...yep Ninja Turtle feet.  Reminds me of you!  Brown clothes remind me of you.  Shoshone  reminds me of you, frozen grapes, hotdogs on bread...not a bun, that old weird nose board game that we could never remember the name of...all remind me of you.  Old coffee cups, which I have a collection of now...yes all because of you.  When I look in the mirror EVERYDAY and see the music notes flowing up from my heart...I really think of you.
I have so many memories of you and although not all of them were good, the good ones are the ones I choose to remember.  You are not with me anymore...I wish you were.  I wish you could have met my wonderful and loving husband...my 3 absolutely amazing children.  I even wish you could have met Rocky.  :)  I wish you could be here for holidays and school events to watch my kids grow.  I wish they could know who they are talking about when they do refer to you.
I am so sorry your time on earth was cut so short.  You didn't deserve to go so soon.  Just know I will always love you, miss you and think of you!  You were my Daddy and still are!

Love Forever,
Your Sweetheart!

Happy 11th Birthday Amya...

My precious daughter.  My joy.  My world.  I truely have the best daughter in the universe...say what you will, but she is amazing and I am beyond blessed to be the mother of this little...yes to me still little...girl! She is so incredibly smart, the most beautiful, talented, sweet, loving, caring and thoughtful, not to mention funny girl I know.  Call me lucky...I know.  :)
Today she is 11...wow!  Just yesterday I was picking her up out of her little bassinet and cuddling her while I fed her a bottle, changing diapers, teaching her to sit, crawl, walk and talk.  It has gone by way too fast! She is now a little lady.
  Happy Birthday Amya...I love you!

Love Always,
Mom
